The 9th edition of the city of Strasbourg’s Interfaith Calendar explores the theme of hope throughout the 12 months of the year.
This initiative aims to highlight the diversity of the calendars still in use, particularly in the different faiths/religions. In view of the current health crisis related to COVID-19, the theme chosen for the 9th edition is “Hope”! Using symbols representative of each religion, this joint ephemeris indicates the main holidays for Buddhism, Catholicism, Orthodox Christianity, the Baha’i faith, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Protestantism.
Today in great demand in Alsace, but also elsewhere in France, the Interfaith Calendar has been increasingly successful since its first edition. As a tool to encourage inter-religious dialogue, to fight against ignorance and to serve as a basis of peaceful co-existence, the Interfaith Calendar of the Eurometropole of Strasbourg shares many ambitions with the RELIEN project.
