FRICKER Denis

After a study period at the French Biblical and Archaeological School of Jerusalem – ‘pupil’, 1997 to 1998 – Denis Fricker prepared and supported a doctoral thesis under the title ‘masculin-feminine’ and parallelism in the sentences of Jesus in 2002. Since then, his research and teaching have focused on the critical exegesis of the synoptic gospels as well as historical and literary investigation of their sources. Denis Fricker recently extended this research to the exegesis of the Epistle of James. In parallel with these studies on the New Testament texts, he deepened the hermeneutic questions arising from any interpretation of founding texts. The more precise study of the link between text and context, in the broad sense of the term, has thus oriented the subject of his empowerment to conduct research (2016): Between text and context: exegesis of the Synoptic Gospels and the Epistle of James.
