Originally from South Korea, he studied theology in Germany and obtained the titles of &#8216;Diplom Theologe&#8217; (DEA in Theology, 1996) at the University of Mainz and &#8216;Doktor Theologe&#8217; (Doctorate in Catholic Theology, 2006, under the direction of Professor Hans WALDENFELS) at the University of Bonn.
