INTER-RELIGIO has its roots in research on several dimensions of inter-religion through three working groups focusing on: the principles and foundations of inter-religion; the methodology and approach of the founding texts; the legal and epistemological status of the theology.

These three groups share the objectives of the organisation of scientific symposia and of the production of research aimed at defining and consolidating the contents of the inte-religious training courses.

Objective of the working group: to reflect on the legal status of theology in public universities and to reflect on the distinction between denominational / non-confessional theology and between theology and the human and social sciences of religions. The fields of the sciences of religions, law and theology will be discussed here.

Objective of the working group: to reflect on the creation of a comparative approach teaching methodology to the founding texts and Catholic, Protestant, Jewish, Muslim and Buddhist theology. This teaching will be integrated into the Master’s programme on Inter-religions and will be offered as an optional module in the programmes of partner Faculties of Theology and associates, and more broadly to all faculties or components that are interested.

Objective of the working group: to reflect on the principles and foundations of a dialogue in concreto within the framework of Jewish, Christian, Muslim and Buddhist theologies. The fields of specialty specific to the various actors in this group will be engaged through the study of the founding texts in the different religions, traditional affirmations and practices concerning inter-religious dialogue, reflection based on the fundamental convictions of the three monotheisms, dialogue with other religions in the specific practices of the different religious communities.

INTER-RELIGIO has its roots in research on several dimensions of inter-religion through three working groups focusing on: the principles and…

Legal and epistemological status of theology
