FEIX Marc

Associate Professor Faculty of Catholic Theology, University of Strasbourg

Marc Feix has been an Associate Professor since 2014. He holds a doctorate in Catholic theology since 1996 (Culture européenne et discours d’Église. Étude des interventions publiques du Saint-Siège auprès des organisations internationales d’Europe occidentale (1945-1991) à partir d’un point de vue sociolinguistique) as well as a Master’s degree in social sciences in 1990 (Paris). He graduated in 2009 from the Cycle des Hautes Études Européennes of the École Nationale d’Administration (ENA – Valéry Giscard d’Estaing promotion). He specialises in political and economic ethics from a social science perspective, and in issues related to the construction of Europe. He is the Delegate for European Affairs at the Diocese of Strasbourg. He is the head of the Research Unit on Catholicism in Alsace (ERCAL) within the faculty, while extending his research fields to the Upper Rhine region. In this capacity he collaborates with the Caritas Institute of the Albert Ludwigs Universität de Fribourg-en-Brisgau and is a member of the French-German Ecumenical Committee of the Working Group on Christian Churches (ACK) in Baden Württemberg. Since 2019 he has been presiding the International Association for Moral Theology and Social Ethics.
