On 27 and 28 September 2017, the international symposium ‘The organisation of Muslim Worship in France from a Comparative Perspective’ will be held at the University of Strasbourg.
Francis Messner is the scientific director of this event, which will open on September 27th with an address by Jean Pierre Chevènement, former Minister and President of the Foundation of Islam.
This symposium on the organisation of Islam in France is organised by the Joint Research Unit for Law, Religion, Enterprise and Society (University of Strasbourg / CNRS) and has received financial support from the Ministry of the Interior, research credits ‘Islam, religion, society’.
A round table gathering Muslim religious leaders, associative leaders, elected representatives and representatives of the administration will close this event.
